The East Chapel has undergone a £120,000 restoration project in 2018 and is now restored to its former glory. It is furnished traditionally with oak pews on either side of a central aisle and wood panelling. The coffin rests on an Art Deco, marble catafalque.

The Oak parquet floor is now exposed and there is new heating and lighting, meaning that the Chapel is now bright and warm throughout the year. There is a new music system in the Chapel called Obitus (which is used in many Crematorium Chapels throughout the UK).

Your Funeral Director will be able to select music with you from this system. There is also a traditional organ in the chapel (you need to book you organist separately with your Funeral Director if desired). There are fully automated curtains which close around the coffin on the catafalque. There are always fresh flowers in the chapel which are replaced every week.
